From producer Takara Shuzo, this is a honkaku shochu made from 100% buckwheat – unlike the more traditional shochu which are based on rice, barley or sweet potato. Bottled at 25% ABV, this is a smooth, mellow and complex shochu, which can be paired with Japanese dishes or as a base for cocktails.
