Selection de Grains Nobles (SGN) indicates a sweet wine produced from late-harvested botrytised grapes and is particularly rare as it cannot be made in every vintage. The 1999 Gewurztraminer is deep and rich with a complex bouquet of honey, figs, currants, papaya and baked apple. It is superbly well balanced and harmonious. Try with blue cheese or even foie gras.
