A milestone year for Rubicon, the 2002 vintage is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. On the nose, classic Cabernet character of black cherries tinged with violets. Opulent texture on the palate, with sweet ripe fruit scented with vanilla and toasty notes from aging in 100% new French oak barrels. Flavours of chocolate, sweet fruit and liquorice linger on the long finish. Now drinking beautifully.
