The founding of the Maison Louis Jadot dates back to 1859 when Louis Henry Denis Jadot set up as a merchant. Today, Jadot is one of the most consistent growers and négociants in Burgundy, with a vast portfolio of appellations – from accessible, easy-drinking village wines to complex, age-worthy Grand Crus, such as this Romanée-Saint-Vivant. 1996 was an outstanding vintage for both white and red Burgundy which are dinking beautifully now.
