Since the early nineties, Dirk Niepoort has been responsible for creating some of Portugal’s most innovative and highest quality wines. As the name would suggest, Robustus is a powerful and full-bodied wine produced from a field blend of the classic Douro varieties and aged for almost 4 years in 2000-litre barrels. The 2013 is deep, complex and multi-layered with impeccable balance of fruit intensity, tannin and acidity. If drinking soon then decanting is strongly recommended.
