Located in the Mâconnais region, Domaine du Clos des Rocs was founded in 2002 by Olivier Giroux, and currently has approximately 10 hectares of vineyards. The wines from Clos des Rocs are typically made in a natural style, with minimal intervention. This release is made from organic Chardonnay grapes which are hand-harvested. 50% of the wine is vinified and aged in 500-litre barrels and 50% in stainless steel tanks. The Pouilly-Loché appellation has only 32 hectares in total, and ‘Chantone’ is undoubtedly one of the oldest parcels of the appellation.
