Eight farms on Islay grew the barley for the production of this Port Charlotte 2012, which Bruichladdich distilled and matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon and second-fill wine casks. The nose is pleasing and joyful, with notes of toasted coconut, raspberry ice cream and a touch of seaweed against an earthy background. The palate brings out vanilla, milk chocolate, cedar and black pepper.
