Peter Michael Winery was established in 1983 and has garnered a significant reputation for its production of world-class terroir-driven Chardonnay. Whilst the majority of Chardonnay produced is vineyard specific, Cuvée Indigéne is a barrel selection given its name by original winemaker, Helen Turley, in reference to the traditional practice of native yeast fermentations. The 2013 is a masterpiece of power and elegance in Chardonnay. It is multi-layered and complex with wonderful interplay between intense exotic fruits, candied citrus, dried apricot, toasted nuts, vanilla and stony minerality.
