One of the most famous wines in the world, Château Mouton-Rothschild is located in Pauillac, around 30 miles north-west of Bordeaux itself. The 2019 vintage is a composed of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. Fresh, highly expressive and precise on the nose, the wine reveals blackberry, black cherry and liquorice aromas with a slightly mineral cast. Smooth and opulent on the palate, with an attractive sweetness, enfolding superbly patrician, rounded and powerful tannins. Beautifully rich overall, culminating in a stylish, succulent and very harmonious finish.
Alongside the quality of their wine, Mouton-Rothschild are also famous for their commissioning of world famous artists to create their labels with a new design featuring each year and the 2019 vintage is designed by the celebrated artist Olafur Eliasson. Sold in magnificent magnum format.
