Mouton Rothschild Magnum 2018

One of the most famous wines in the world, Château Mouton-Rothschild is located in Pauillac, around 30 miles north-west of Bordeaux itself. The 2018 vintage is an elegant blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Intense, deep black in colour, the nose reveals intense ripe fruit aromas and nutmeg notes, set off by touches of mint. Blackberry and cherry flavours lifted by a hint of spice on the palate. Generous, creamy and well-rounded tannins underpin candied flavours, giving an overall impression of succulence. Great balance between the fruit and the tannins paves the way for a highly refined and exceptionally long finish. The 2018 vintage saw Chinese artist and writer Xu Bing commissioned to design the label. Sold in marvellous magnum format.
