Mormoreto Marchesi di Frescobaldi 2004

Marchesi di Frescobaldi Mormoreto 2004 is a full-bodied single-vineyard Supertuscan red wine produced in the Tuscany region of central Italy. It represents the epitome of the Frescobaldi family`s ambition to create fine wines on a par with the most illustrious bottlings of France. 1983 was the very first vintage of Mormoreto, from the cru vineyard of the same name, planted in 1978. The 2004 vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (25%), Cabernet Franc (12%) and Petit Verdot (3%), and was matured for 24 months in new French oak and a further six months in bottle before release.
