Originally established in Cuba in1872, Matusalem Rum was relaunched in the early 2000s and is now produced in the Dominican Republic. Their ‘Clásico’ release is a superb golden rum that has been aged in American ex-bourbon barrels. Bottled at 40% ABV, this is a lightly spicy expression, combining flavours of nutmeg, coconut, caramel, vanilla, cacao nibs and pepper.
