Masseto is one of the most coveted Super Tuscan wines, made entirely from Merlot and often dubbed ‘the Pétrus of Italy’. Together with Sassicaia and Ornellaia, Masseto is the only Italian wine to maintain a continuous presence in the Liv-ex Power 100 since 2010. The 2019 vintage is the latest to be released to market. It was a year of unpredictable weather conditions, whose evolution has revealed a truly classical expression, boasting notes of ripe cherries, violet, liquorice and dark chocolate.
