2013 presented particularly favourable conditions for Merlot and this release of Masseto is imbued natural warmth and richness but enhanced by superb aromatic quality. The nose is ripe, fruit-laden and complex with delicate notes of vanilla and cocoa. On the palate, it is substantial, rich and immensely gratifying with highly refined, silky tannins and a wonderfully long, elegant finish.
