The Massandra Winery was founded by Tsar Nicholas II in 1894 near to Yalta, on the Crimean Peninsula, and it supplied the royal family with fine wines while they were on holiday at their summer palace at Livadia. This is an exceptionally rare and complex sweet wine with notes of peppermint, maple syrup and allspice.
