Macallan’s Fine and Rare Series was first introduced in 2002, designed to showcase the distillery’s best vintage single malts dating back as far as 1926. This limited-edition release was distilled in 1968 and matured for 34 years in a single hogshead. It suggests aromas of soft toffee, ripe apples, lime and hints of linseed oil. The palate is predominantly fruity, with a thin layer of vanilla on the finish. Only 109 bottles were produced.
