Over the last few decades, the Second Growth property Château Léoville Las Cases has cemented its reputation as one of the most consistent producers of exceptional quality wines in the Pauillac appellation. This release is a magnum bottle of its Grand Vin from the 1982 vintage, a blend composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. The wine has aged beautifully, revealing notes of cassis, leather, graphite, hints of menthol and liquorice. No sign of fading.
