Château Lagrézette has a wonderfully long history and has cultivated vines at the domaine since the 15th Century. By the 1930s it has fallen into a state of disrepair and it was not until the 1980s that Alain Dominique Perrin reversed its fortunes and began the steady process of restoration and rejuvenation. Today, with consultant winemaker Michel Rolland on board, it is one of the finest producers of Malbec in Cahors.
Paragon comes from a 20-hectare vineyard in Landiech and is produced from a selection of the finest quality fruit. Almost opaque in appearance, it offers up notes of black cherries, dried fruits, leather and liquorice. Exceptionally full-bodied this is not a wine for the faint-hearted, but it has superb balance, silky texture and a long, lingering finish.
