Jurancon Cuvee Joe Dressner Souch 2010

When American importer, Joe Dressner, passed away in 2011, Domaine de Souch proprietor, Madame Yvonne Hegoburu, created a special wine to pay tribute to him. She selected three barrels of her excellent cuvée, Marie-Kattalin, which is made from 100% Petit Manseng grown on a single plot called La Palombière. This is a wonderful sweet wine with delicious aromas of tropical fruits, dried apricots, orange blossom and exotic spices. Though it contains 76g/L residual sugar, there is wonderful acidity providing balance and freshness, suggesting this still has a long life ahead of it.
