Situated in Graves, Château Haut-Brion holds the prestigious distinction of First Growth status as awarded in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, firmly establishing its reputation as one of the best producers in the region. The estate predominantly dedicates its vineyard to red grape varieties, encompassing 48 hectares of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Additionally, three hectares are reserved for the cultivation of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. This release is the Grand Vin from the 1976 vintage, a year that saw several wine regions, including Bordeaux, Sauternes, Burgundy, Beaujolais, and the Rhône Valley, all deliver reasonably good wines.
