Hattingley Valley Kings Cuvee 2014

A very limited release, the Kings Cuvée is a premium blend of 45% Pinot Noir, 43% Chardonnay and 12% Pinot Meunier. A fabulous English sparkling wine, awarded the accolade of ‘Supreme Champion’ at the WineGB awards. Once bottled, the wine aged for fifty-two months on lees allowing the development of its complex toasty character. A small dosage of 4g/L was added after disgorgement to balance the wine’s bright acidity. In the words of Head Winemaker, Emma Rice, "There were so many fantastic barrels in 2014 it was really hard to whittle it down to the final few. The result is a wonderfully generous wine that will develop for years to come."
