Grandes Anadas Artadi Magnum 1999

Artadi is a highly regarded wine producer situated in the town of Laguardia within Rioja Alavesa. The winery has gained recognition for its departure from the local Rioja wine regulations and now labels its wines as ‘Vino de Mesa’. Artadi crafts an array of wines inspired by the Rioja style, with a distinct focus on subregional characteristics. It is particularly renowned for its single-vineyard offerings, all of which are exclusively made from Tempranillo. The 1999 `Grandes Anadas` showcases a bouquet filled with cranberry, red currant, raspberry, earthy forest notes, mineral elements, subtle toasty hints, cedar, delicate traces of lead pencil, cloves, violets, and a touch of fur. The wine exhibits a medium body and a silky texture, culminating in a long, satisfying finish. It maintains a moderate level of acidity, which is surprisingly well-preserved despite its age.
