This is a bold single cask Glendronach, matured in a Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon for 23 long years. The nose evokes forest floor like notes, stewed aromatic tea, dark treacle, ginger cake and brown toast. The palate combines burnt butter, honey roasted nuts, cured spicy meat, old leather, antique oak, lots of dark sweet sherry wood and fruits such as figs, dates and prunes.
