This is a marvellous Tuscan wine made by Podere La Villa from 100% Merlot and is a tribute to the creator of Super Tuscan wines, Giacomo Tachis. From the exceptional 2016 vintage, it is full-bodied and rich, with brilliantly vibrant notes of plums, blackcurrant, Mediterranean herbs, dried lavender and cracked black pepper. Though thoroughly charming and attractive in youth, this will be at its best with a few more years cellaring.
