The Decoster family have been exceptionally consistent over recent years and this is another lovely example of modern Saint-Émilion from the often-overlooked 2011 vintage. Composed of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is bold and full of character, offering notes of rich dark fruits, violets, exotic spices and graphite. On the palate it is superbly harmonious, striking a lovely balance between richness of fruit, vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins.
