Castillo Perelada is one of the most important producers in the Empordà DO, a small Catalonian region close to the Southern French border. Finca Garbet is 100% Syrah from a single 12-hectare vineyard just a stone’s throw away from the shores of the Mediterranean. The 2013 release is a rich and refined release with deliciously juicy notes of creamy red and black berry fruits, rosemary, dark chocolate and peppery spice. It is full-bodied and mouthcoating, with grippy tannins and a long, mineral-tinged finish.
