Based in Germany’s Mosel region, Weingut Egon Müller is widely regarded as one of the world’s finest white wine producers and the highly revered Scharzhofberg vineyard is the source of some of the greatest Riesling in the country. From the low-yielding but exceptional 2019 vintage, this is a stunning release made in the later-harvested Spätlese style. It is already drinking beautifully but, as ever, this can be expected to age and improve for up to 50 years.
