Château d’Agassac is a superb Cru Bourgeois estate in the Haut-Médoc. The 1999 vintage is composed of 60% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, and offers up lovely notes of mature black fruits, leather, smoke, anise and juniper. Perfectly ready to drink, this would be excellent with slow-cooked beef dishes.
