Based in Beaune, Maison Louis Jadot has a long and fascinating history dating back to 1859. Today, Jadot is one of the most consistent growers and négociants in Burgundy, with a vast portfolio of wines – from easy-drinking, accessible village wines to complex, age-worthy Grand Crus, such as this Corton-Pougets. The Maison owns a superb, southerly-exposed parcel of approximately 1.5 hectares purchased back in 1914. The 1999 vintage is a medium-bodied wine, with intense dark berry fruit, vibrant acidity and some grippy but refined tannins.
