Jaboulet’s Domaine de Saint Pierre Cornas comes from a plot that is often the last of their vineyards to be harvested and is not always released if quality is not deemed exceptional. The 2016 is a deep and black-fruited on the nose, with subtle hints of red cherry, black pepper and game. On the palate it is medium-bodied, vibrant and sleek, with a distinctive mineral undercurrent running beneath waves of delicious plummy fruit.
