Clos du Clocher is a small estate in Pomerol that, since the sublime 2009 and 2010 vintages, has been consistently producing excellent wines and continues to fly somewhat under the radar. The 2016 release is a brilliant follow-up to the superb 2015 and could, in time, prove to be even better. Composed of 79% Merlot and 21% Cabernet Franc is medium-bodied, silky and pure, with delightful notes of herb-infused black fruits, truffle and earth.
