The 2014 release of Domaine la Barroche’s entry level cuvée, known as ‘Signature’, is a blend of 62% Grenache, 18% Mourvedre, 13% Syrah, 5% Cinsault and 2% other varieties from vines with an average age of more than 70 years. It is rich, full-bodied and intense, with notes of plum, black cherry, leather, garrigues, anise and pepper. Though endowed with admirable density of fruit and no shortage of tannic structure, it is fleshy yet svelte and will continue to drink very well over the next few years.
