Established by Gaston Hochar in 1930. Chateau Musar is without doubt Lebanon`s top wine estate and their flagship red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and Cinsault from vineyards in the Bekaa Valley. Chateau Musar is well-known for producing wines that stand the test of time and well-stored older vintages can deliver profound drinking experiences for those lucky enough to try them.
Andrew Jefford described the 1961 as “fragrant as Zanzibar, soft as feathers, succulent and melting as caramel” with flavours of “wild mushrooms and the forest floor.”
