Gérard Thomas has been unassumingly making lovely wines in the village of Saint-Aubin since 1982. Nowadays working alongside his two daughters, Anne-Sophie and Isabelle, their vineyard holdings also extend to include the appellations of Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet.
Les Chenevottes is a Premier Cru vineyard that sits at the base of the hill of Montrachet and produces medium- to full-bodied wines, with delicious citrus-driven intensity, subtle nutty savouriness and plenty of mineral tension. 2018 was a superb vintage and this has bags of early drinking appeal but will drink brilliantly for the next 3-5 years.
