Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is one of the oldest and most revered estates in Burgundy. The domaine encompasses 12.4ha, of which 0.56 hectares is in Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses. This highly regarded site sits just below Grand Cru Musigny and is often seen by many as of similar quality. Vines here were planted in 1964 and 1974 on stoney topsoils over oolitic limestone.
As ever, the 2018 is typified by startling purity and expressiveness. Mid-weight yet unerringly elegant, with an incredibly long, mineral-infused and tensile finish, this will need a good few years in the cellar to reach its prime drinking window.
