First released in the 1987 vintage, Carillon d’Angélus is a variable blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon selected from different Saint-Émilion terroirs. The 2018 cuvée is a blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc. The wine reveals aromas of black cherries, raspberry coulis and subtle orange pith, with well-integrated new oak. The palate is medium-bodied, with supple tannins, plenty of lightly spiced red fruit and a refined, saline finish.
