Made from a blend of old clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec, Capo di Stato is regarded as one of Italy`s finest red wines. 50-year-old vines from a little historic appellation called Venegazzù, 50km north of Venice, where Bordeaux-style blends thrive. The wine shows deep blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, herbs, with hints of hazelnut and dried rose petals. The tannins are supple, with an earthy, juicy finish.
