Capensis Silene Chardonnay aims to showcase the distinctive nuances and remarkable flavour profile derived from the renowned Stellenbosch winegrowing region. Unlike the flagship Western Cape Chardonnay, which blends grapes from various sites across the Western Cape, winemaker Graham Weerts directs his focus towards the unique terroir of Stellenbosch for Silene. This exceptional wine combines grapes from the Fijnbosch vineyard with those sourced from neighbouring mountain vineyards. The result is an aromatic symphony of lime, lemon, orange blossom, nectarine, and a delicate hint of crème brûlée. With a full-bodied palate featuring citrus notes and rich mineral expressions, it culminates in a saline finish.
