The 2017 Château Calon-Ségur is a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. It has enticing aromas of plums, cassis, mulberry, earth and cedar. Deep and elegant, the palate is medium-bodied with superbly honed tannins. The wine is aged in new oak barrels for 20 months, allowing the tannins to integrate harmoniously over time. Drinking window 2022-2040.
