Situated on a stony hill above the Ombrone river, Montalcino producer Cupano boasts an estate that spans 35 hectares of organic farming. 6.4ha of which are devoted to vineyards. The 2017 Brunello is a powerful Sangiovese-based red with a warming 15% abv. Aged on the fine lees in Burgundy barriques for at least 3 years. Notes of blackberries, cherries and wild strawberries mingle with gentle spice and refined tannins, concluding on a wonderfully long finish. Sold in luxurious large format.
