The third release of Bruichladdich`s super-peated Octomore. Aged in a combination of ex-Port pipes, ex-Cognac and ex-Bourbon barrels and peated to a crazy 167 ppm.
The nose is typically Octomorean with big campfire, tar and toasted vanilla biscuits mingling with ripe red fruit and a touch of baked apple. The palate is sweet and fruit with a hint of medicinal peat before a long finish with notes of oak char and black pepper.
