Boekenhoutskloof’s sublime sweet wine is a late-harvested Semillon from a 0.96ha vineyard planted in 1997 and, due to its proximity to the Franschhoek River, has the perfect meso-climate for the proliferation of Botrytis cinerea. This is an unctuous yet superbly balanced wine, offering up alluring notes of peach, quince, candied citrus, honeysuckle, beeswax and stem ginger. A delicious accompaniment to fruit desserts or strong blue cheeses.
