Benevolent Neglect is the brainchild of Matt Nagy and Ben Brenner, whose mission is to produce handcrafted with minimal intervention. Their Syrah Whole Cluster edition is only produced in the best vintages such as 2017. The nose is vibrant, with aromas of violets, black olives and loose tea leaves. On the palate, blackberries and blueberries dominate, with some dark chocolate and spices too. The wine is smooth and complete, even at this young age.
