The 2016 Beaune 1er Cru ‘Clos des Mouches’ is a sterling effort from one of the stalwarts of Burgundy. It has an immensely charming and complex nose of dark berry fruit, white pepper, earth and toasty oak. On the palate it is fleshy, vibrant and multi-layered with broad brushstrokes of tannin and a superbly long finish.
