With 80 hectares, the Joseph Drouhin Domaine is one of the largest estates in Burgundy. Some of their vineyards are among the most prestigious in the region, such as Clos de Mouches, where Pinot Noir grapes are grown according to biodynamic principles. This 1990 vintage is spicy, racy and wonderfully complex with stunning purity and finishing intensity. The nose displays none of the fully mature and secondary character and there is still obvious tannin underpinning the persistent finish.
