The jewel in Thierry Pillot’s crown, his Grand Cru Bâtard-Montrachet is produced using fruit from the Puligny side and tend to be juicy and voluminous, but all framed by a precise acidity. Still in its infancy, the 2019 vintage already tastes complex and approachable and it’s bound to improve after a few years in the cellar.
