AA Badenhorst Family Wines are grown, made and matured on Kalmoesfontein farm in the Swartland appellation of South Africa and is owned by cousins Hein and Adi Badenhorst. The `Family Red` is a well-balanced blend of Shiraz, Grenache Noir, Cinsault, Tinta Barocca and Touriga National. Brooding aromas on the nose with complex notes of pepper, liquorice, perfume, and black cherries. Dense on the palate with lavender and dark berry fruit. The finish is dry with well spread tannins ending with savoury and blackcurrant flavours. Sold in approachable half bottle format.
