Avignonesi was founded in the late Middle Ages, but was acquired in 2009 by Belgian entrepreneur Virginie Saverys, who made a significant investment in the estate. Their organic Vino Nobile, made with 100% Sangiovese grapes, spent 18 months in large Slavonian oak casks. It shows intense aromas of red berries, such as cherries, pomegranate, sweet spices and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, the wine is well balanced, with generous pulp, seamless tannins and a fruity finish. Ready to drink now.
