The Larry Hyde & Sons Chardonnay, grown in the maritime-influenced area of San Pablo Bay, is where white Burgundy meets California. From Aubert’s coolest site, the 2017 is a stunning effort with exuberant notes of tropical fruits, grapefruit pith, honey, toasted nuts and candied ginger. It is decadent and full-bodied, yet underpinned by wonderful acid freshness and enhanced by delicately savoury nuances.
