Ata Rangi are one of New Zealand’s top tier producers and are widely credited with pioneering winemaking in the small North Island region of Martinborough. The 2016 Célèbre is a blend of 51% Merlot, 28% Syrah and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon with the lesser parts Malbec and Cabernet Franc. From a warmer vintage, it is rich, deeply concentrated and complex with wonderful notes of plum, cassis, coriander seed, liquorice and herbs.
